If you are one of those people who like fonts, you probably wondered at some point about the Newyorker magazine font. Well as the name suggests obviously it is based on the unique font predominant in the Newyorker magazine.

newyorker-fontYou can find this font available for download at the myfonts site. This is not a great site like Font Struct, but still has a decent collection. If you are a local magazine owner, especially in the art and culture category, this font will certainly entice your readers. I am not sure Newyorker has any copyright over the fonts, but the simple fact that they are selling a font with the actual Newyorker name suggests that you should be ok. When you think about it, how can you copyright a typeface setting?
